Unable to verify email and access App Store on erased iPhone 13

I’m trying to verify my email, but I’m having issues with this iPhone. I’m getting very irritated. I just need to know how to verify because I can’t get to the App Store because I can’t verify my email because I can’t get a Gmail app.I’m

Original Title: My brother-in-law gave me this iPhone 13 and it was connected to his iPhone 15 and we kept getting each other's messages and photos so I had to erase delete everything that I have been working on for eight weeks and now I can't get back into my phone

Sounds like the phone is associated with your brother’s Apple ID. That would explain sharing of various pieces of data. Merely attempting to reset the phone would not have cleared his ID off of it, and what you are likely seeing is Activation Lock.

If so, it does not want you to enter your Apple ID and password. It wants to see his. Give the phone back to your brother and ask him to unlock it, reset it, and properly prepare it for transfer back to you,
