Unable to print using my iPhone and iPad after updating to iOS 18.6

Neither of our iphones nor iPad can print after the 18.6 update. Printing works when I turn off/disconnect Norton's VPN. I should not need to turn off a vpn to be able to print.

VPNs inherently involve and modify routing, and your VPN is apparently having issues with that.

Check for updates to the VPN, and then contact NortonLifeLock for assistance with their VPN app.

Or remove the VPN, and use the existing end-to-end encryption (that the VPN wraps again, and only for part of the connection), and consider using the existing end-to-end with iCloud+ Private Relay and ODoH.

When using a VPN, the behaviour that you observe is fully expected.

Unless your VPN connection is explicitly configured to support Split Tunnelling, you will not be able to access any local network resources while the VPN is active - and for this reason you will be unable to access local network resources, such as an AirPrint printer, while the VPN is active.

While your VPN is active, all network traffic will be directed to the VPN Gateway. With VPN inactive, local network resources - and other local network client devices should be accessible.
