You can try doing a forgot password, then Yahoo will send you either a email or text, then enter the code that was sent and proceed from there.

If you still have issue then contact Yahoo support or look at their help site.

FYI Yahoo and Apple mail app has always caused issue, they push you to use their Yahoo app.
