Apple Watch Ultra 2 recording too many stairs/flights

Beginning to become disappointed with my Apple ultra 2 watch.

I tracked my health information very carefully and for the last 60 days it records anywhere from 60 up to 150 flights climbed. Most of those days I probably climb less than 5 flights.

I have followed all the instructions on repairing my phone, also recalibrating based on the information I found on various websites where people complained of this issue. And the final straw was going to the Apple Store today and they checked it out and they said Yep, you have a problem, but we can’t fix it in the store.

You can leave it with us and we will send it back to Apple and it might take 10 days before you get it back. I don’t think this is the right thing. It’s still under warranty until the middle of October.

purchase this thinking that Apple would stand behind their products. I use the health app all the time averaging about 150 miles a month walking.

Is there an easy fix for this problem. I hate to send the watch back in and wait for it.
