august 2025 update bricked my Apple-TV

Not much to tell. It was working fine last night but this afternoon when I turned it on, NADA. so I did the unplug-plug routine 3 times and the only thing I got was the main menu screen but the WIFI icon has an exclamation point in it. I can't access ANYthing. I press the button on the remote and absolutely nothing happens. I recently recharged the remote but am charging again just to be sure.

I just started S2 of FOUNDATION and don't want to have to watch it on my iMac. Any solutions out there? Besides buying a new tv device?

Usually, when you plug the Apple TV in after it was unplugged, it should automatically boot right up. Check another outlet to see if it is a power-related issue. If not, I hope you still have warranty

OK quick update. The remote is not working. I tried a 30second reboot still just showing the main menu and the only thing working is the clock. so I thought I'd try using my iPhone as a remote but I get n error message that the controls aren't playing. duh. Second try I got an account error message. ???

thanks but I've had it for 4 or 5 years. I was hoping to hold out for the (rumored) new device. And no, the outlet is fine. Thanks anyway.
