mac mini m2 cannot export any transparent video files

I do video editing and motion graphics. I NEED to have things exported with transparency. No matter what i do, on ANY app on my machine, NOTHING will render video transparency. Yes, i know all the settings, but nothing works. Not Quicktime, After Effects, FCXPX, or anything. Not even a PNG sequence turned into video.

When i do export an animated logo or something sometimes, it comes out like a blue or yellow partially transparent logo (or whatever) with a black background.

I've searched forever and don't see any solutions. What is going on? Does anyone know?

Do you say what is the video format...(?)

Is this all within the Apple platform...or the issue is a wider distribution?

Is this an old issue, new issue, what changed?

What software, and what are the exact export settings that you are using?

Not many codecs support transparency.

You'll typically use ProRes 4444, or HEVC; and in the latter you'll need to make sure to select to use transparency (Alpha Channel).

Also, depending on how you are viewing the output, transparent areas may appear to be black, or grey, and only when placing the transparent content over some background it will be apparent what the transparent parts are.

For example, this is a screen capture of a logo open in Preview - the light grey area IS transparent, and is rendered by Preview in the color chosen in Settings.
