How to resolve Apple Watch SE boot loop issues?

so my mom gave me her old apple watch that hadn’t been turned on in a year or over a year. It was charging perfectly fine and when it started to boot up it would show the apple logo for maybe about 10 seconds then the screen would dim turn off and repeat. I’m almost certain it’s because it hasn’t been updated in like two ish years but i wouldn’t know how to do that if it won’t even turn on. Please don’t tell me to just hold the power and crown button or put it in the freezer i have tried that already.
