why is my phone number saying unavilable for sharing im unable to send blue messages they all send green

Today I received a message about a recent Apple transaction on my account. It asked me to call Apple Support at +1 88*******8 for assistance. Is this number genuine? Has anyone else received this message or used this support number?
I want to make sure it’s safe before calling
