HomePod Setup Failed (-7003)

I'm trying to switch my HomePod minis from an old apple account to a different one. It all worked fine for my first mini, but on the second one, it asks me to sign into my Apple Account and then the sign in fails with the message "Verification Failed. An unknown error occurred." I tried changing my account password and that didn't fix it.

I've left it a couple of days before trying again in case I'd managed to lock myself out of my account, but I still get the same message. I can log into my apple account on different applications on my phone, such as Music, so the account is not locked.

I really need help with this as I have 5 more devices I want to move to my apple account.

You should get all the other devices signed into your new account first. One by one as you open each device they will say new device added to account, dismiss those or click ok, so you’ve completed transferring them all. Verify on your iPhone or iPad (whichever iOS device you’re using for set up that you are indeed signed into the new account.

In this device in Settings-Your Name (at the top) scroll down to see all these devices are now listed as signed into iCloud.

Then try again.
