Missing 'Find and Replace' option in Microsoft Word on iPad Pro

I have an IpadPro. I have been using Microsoft word successfully for the last 3 years. Then suddenly, a couple of weeks ago, the “find and replace” option disappeared. I can open the search function. Choose that option but then nothing. No search bar. Nothing happens. I have so far…

closed the app and restarted.

Closed the document and restarted.

Resaved the document under another name.

Switched off and then Re-started my ipadpro.

All to no avail. I have searched this but to clarify I AM NOT USING PAGES I am using Microsoft word. on my ipadpro. All other Microsoft is working ok - excel etc.
