Unable to consolidate iTunes files on 2011 iMac for transfer to Mac mini

I have an 2011 iMac that has a lot of music on it and I want to transfer it to my new Mac mini. But when I go into iTunes to consolidate files, it is not allowing me to, it is not an active choice? What is going on

The iMac is a mid 2011 High Sierra OS ... the Mac mini is 2020, chip is Apple M1, 8 GB of Memory, running Sequoia 15.5

Just want to go about it the simplest way and move my music from the ol' iMac to the newer Mac mini.

Your library may already be consolidated, i.e. all content connected to the library is located in the media folder. See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. What options do you see under File > Library > Organize Library...?

Note that Sequoia is not able to update an iTunes library from High Sierra, it needs to be updated in Mojave first, then, in principle, it can be converted to the Music format in Catalina or later. In practice the Monterey build of Music tends to stall during the conversion process. I've been doing such library conversions for people via an exchange of emails. You can find my address in my profile here if you'd like assistance.
