Turn off two-factor authentication for Apple Card (only)

I'm trying to link my Apple Card to my bank's account aggregation service so I can view the balance alongside my other accounts. The connection process works initially—I authenticate with my Apple ID, enter the 2FA code sent to my devices, and the link is established successfully.

However, the connection fails within 24 hours when the aggregation service attempts to refresh the data automatically. Since this happens without user interaction (often overnight), there's no way to enter the required 2FA code, causing the connection to break repeatedly.

The core issue: Apple Card appears to require full Apple ID authentication with 2FA for all third-party connections, including automated refresh attempts by financial aggregation services. This makes it impossible to maintain persistent connections with banks, credit unions, and financial management platforms that use services like Plaid or MX for account linking.

What I've tried:

• App-Specific Passwords (not accepted by Apple Card authentication)
• Manual re-authentication during business hours (works temporarily but defeats the purpose)

Requested solution: An option to disable 2FA specifically for Apple Card third-party financial connections, or support for App-Specific Passwords that would allow automated refresh without requiring interactive authentication.

This limitation makes Apple Card significantly less convenient compared to traditional credit cards that support standard banking integration protocols. Many users rely on account aggregation for financial planning and budgeting, and this authentication design effectively prevents Apple Card from participating in those workflows.

Has anyone found a workaround, or is there an official Apple solution for maintaining persistent third-party financial connections?
