Apple Music sidebar does have "Import" on it

I have switched from iTunes to Apple Music on my Windows 11 laptop and music was moved from iTunes to Apple Music. My problem is that I cannot add anything new to my Apple Music personal Library.

I found these instructions elsewhere in the Apple Support Community:

Import music from a computer to Apple Music on Windows

If you have songs or music video files on your computer, you can import them into Apple Music so they appear in your music library.

  1. Go to the Apple Music app on your Windows device.
  2. Select at the top of the sidebar, then choose Import.
  3. Locate a file or folder, then select Open.
  4. If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.

When I go to *** at the top of the sidebar it does not have Import as a choice.

Thanks for your help with this problem.

Those instructions are wrong. Try:

… > Library > Add Files|Folder To Library

Although my recommendation would be to remove Apple Music/TV/Devices and revert to iTunes. There are too many useful features of iTunes that are missing in the new apps.
