Block email sharing with third parties on MacBook Pro

I am using a 2021 MacBook Pro, macOS Sequoia 15.5. Is there a way to stop or block sharing or selling my email when a website doesn't give an option to choose what is shared with 3rd party affiliates?

Once you give a third party your email address, there is no way to stop them from sharing it. That is true for any information you provide to someone else. It is like giving someone your phone number, you are not able to stop them from giving it to someone else.

Apple provides a service called Hide My Email that lets you choose throwaway accounts for each service you would give your email address to so you have control over it and can remove it at any time. That way your regular email account is not constantly being filled up with spam and can identify the service who is selling your email address. It does require an iCloud+ subscriptions starting at 99 cents(US)/month.

Yep, that is a good idea. The advantage of using Hide My Email is the you can create multiple junk emails where you can use individual ones for each service that makes managing them a little easier. When you no longer want to use a service, you can delete that email to prevent any spam associated with it, and not have that email tied to other services that you may want to continue and use.
