Apple Mail can't move sent messages to the mailbox on my Mac

When I write an email, this message pops up.

I've tried various things with my email settings, but these messages still come up. For one thing, I don't know what to do about the part "mailbox for user is full".

Another problem, related or not, I'm not sure, is that I can't delete email from my inbox.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Seems you may need to check whether it is the email account on the email provider's website (eg: GMail, Yahoo, etc) that is using up all the allocated storage space.

ie: Log-in to your account on the provider's website to check on how things are there - eg: there may be a message from provider, or full mailboxes.

It depends upon the setting you set up there whether or not emails are kept on that server indefinately, or whether they are synced to delete there when deleted on your Mac.

(Different providers may have different setting options, and differing amounts of provided storage.)
