Upgrading from OS High Sierra 10.13 on Mac

I'd like to know what I can upgrade to. There aren't anymore updates, Safari doesn't quite work properly and Google Chrome can't be updated until Mac is updated/upgraded beyond 10.13

Unless the iMac is a late-2012 model or newer, then there is nothing you can do to upgrade it.

For the 2012 model, the qualified OS upgrades are 10.14 Mojave and 10.15 Catalina.

To upgrade beyond either of those will require an iMac of the mid-2014 flavor or newer.

macOS 10.14 Mojave is compatible with the Macs listed here

macOS 10.15 Catalina is compatible with the Macs listed here

macOS 11 Big Sur is compatible with the Macs listed here

macOS 12 Monterey is compatible with the Macs listed here

Firefox ESR will work.

115.22.0esr (64-bit) is the latest, and as I understand, final version that will be released for High Sierra.

Scroll down to the link adjacent to "Note: If you are using Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or macOS 10.12, 10.13 or 10.14, then please download ESR 115 in order to use Firefox."
