DVD writer no longer burns Music playlist to CD

Music cancels burn when it starts to write a CD, using a supported DVD writer that has long been used successfully. Diagnostic indicates that the connection may have been lost, although both disk and laptop show an active connection. Does OSX Catalina and Music still support this functionality?
