How to reinstall macOS Monterey on my MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016)MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) running Monterey 12.7.6 I need to reinstall the system software but cannot find the download for this specific version.. The download I received from the APP store will not install. The message received upon trying to install it is “this volume cannot be downgraded” can someone direct me as to how to accomplish this.

Thank you!

A few months ago App Store had Monterey 12.7.4 incorrectly labeled as 12.7.6 and I guess this still applies.

So you can't install v12.7.4 on top of v12.7.6, if that's what you are trying to do.

Instead, backup, prepare a bootable installer and boot to it (or boot to Local or Internet Recovery via Command-R or Option-Command-R), erase the internal volume (or the whole device if you are booted to USB installer), install 12.7.4 and then update to 12.7.6, and finally restore (if necessary).
