2017 factory reset to a system that doesn't exist anymore.. HELP!!

I recently purchased a 2017 MacBook Air. I followed all instructions do a macOS factory reset. I'm stuck at connect to the macOS High Sierra recovery server.. I'm connected to the internet, but can not find the server.. How do I get around this??
