The credit card billing address matches the country I'm trying to listen from, in this case the US. However, Apple Music will not let me play music, it will only let me listen to previews. Browser is Firefox, ver. 141.0, computer is running Windows 10.
My subscription is up to date. Any advice?
Have you checked in the Account settings on the website that it sees your subscription there?
User icon at the top right, then on Settings, then on Subscriptions and then on Manage.
Is the subscription visible there?
If it's not, then that Account does not have an associated subscription.

Are you sure you are logged in to the website with the Apple Account that holds the subscription?

Just a further update - a complete shutdown of my computer overnight didn't help anything, either. I am paying for a subscription that I can't use, which irritates me far beyond the 1/31 of $10.99 that I've just paid for nothing.
Hi, Phil0124. Yes, I'm certain that I'm logged into https://music.apple.com/us/home , and that I'm logged in with the correct Apple Account.
Clicking on the 'settings', then to 'manage subscription' shows Individual, $10.99 per month, Renews August 29 , all of which is accurate.
Not sure what else to try...
Okay, so this is yet another day of being unable to play music with my subscription. Can anyone in the community help?
