iMessage app in CarPlay display is missing on 2018 CR-V

I have a ‘18 CR-V and suddenly, the iMessage app is missing from CarPlay and its display. Siri states the app is not available. I find no setting information in Honda’s CarPlay info to control whether or not it shows, only the notifications.

I have removed and replaced my iPhone 15 Pro Max from CarPlay and Bluetooth. Power-cycled the phone and restarted the car. No change in the availability of iMessage app.

To my knowledge and info searches, CarPlay does not control the basic apps that appear from the iPhone. I’m not assuming the iPhone is at fault but I find no settings to remove or replace the basic apps showing on CarPlay.

Any assistance to get me going again is greatly appreciated.
