Missing input and output meter in limiter effect on Final Cut Pro

Could someone tell me what happened? I was editing an audio clip to make a podcast. I'm not sure what happened, but I must have toggled something because I can no longer see either the input nor the output meters in my limiter effect. I've tried deleting it, creating a new one, and restarting fcp and nothing's working.
