Connecting Windows laptop to iPad as a monitor

I would want to use my iPad as a monitor for my windows laptop using either the lightning cable or wirelessly. Can you guys help?

It seems that you'll need to seek assistance from your employer's IT Department.


If you explain what you are attempting to achieve - and why - they will either assist with installing the necessary software, or maintain their policy of disallowing your intended usage. The alternative is to connect and use an actual external monitor to your work PC.

I bought a portable external monitor from Amazon for about $50 bucks. It's not the greatest monitor in the world but it's more than adequate for having one spreadsheet open for reference while I'm editing another. It's powered off the USB-C port on my MBP but it also came with an HDMI cable, if I recall.


Before I bought it, I was using my iPad. Using an iPad as a second monitor on a Mac is fine for occasional use. But the external monitor if much better.
