Can I still use MacBook Air after spilling water on it?

My water bottle leaked into my Mac book. It has water marks inside the screen but seems to be working fine. Can I still use it. What is the best way to save it as have loads of content on it

Completely agree with @Allan Jones!!!

In fact, you don't know how lucky you are that you can still access the data on the internal SSD. If that Logic Board was damaged (it may be damaged & you don't know it yet), then you would have lost all that data. It is nearly impossible to recover data from the M-series Macs when their is damage. Sometimes you can even permanently lose access to the data on the internal SSD without any actual hardware failure due to all of the hardware, software, and security changes.

People should always have frequent and regular backups of their computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data. Apple includes Time Machine with macOS to make backups simple, but you can also use third party apps (or both) since TM has some limitations.

Edit: I also wanted to say that the damage is already done. Maybe the screen is the only casualty, but there is no way to be sure since it can take some time for corrosion to build up where it may cause problems.
