How to open local html files in safari on iphone

I have an html file that is opening fine in the files preview, but it seems like in the files preview it lacks the JavaScript i put there, so i need to open it via browser. When clicking share, i have options like open via edge or schrome, but all they say is "edge/chrome cannot handle this link", and i can only guess this is some security reason for the file:/// protocol? And there is no "open in Safari" option.

I have an IOS 18.5 iphone

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 18

Due to evolving security reasons, you can no longer open an HTML file directly with Safari (or Firefox) in iOS 18.5. Quick Look is as close as you can get and it will not run JavaScript.
