Why does the camera work better in FaceTime VS Photo Booth?

Hello everyone, can anyone help me??? I tried every way to improve the webcam in Photo Booth, I even bought the "webcam settings" app from the appstore, but even the webcam on my MacBook Air 2017 is still very dark and very saturated!! But when I open the webcam in the FaceTime app, the image is cleaner and more soft! Is there a way to solve this??
