iPhone 16 Pro Max heating, freezing, and tapping issues

Just wondering if others (which seems like they are) with the IPhone 16 Pro Max.

I’ve had my less than two months and have had lots of issues. First bad one was phone got VERY HOT while using, I wasn’t charging just searching information for work projects. I’ve had phones get hot but not this hot. I shut it off and put it in refrigerator to cool it down. After a half hour or so I turned it back on and it did not heat up the rest of the day…. But now it was glitchy. Freezing, not rotating and needing to tap screen several times to make it respond. Then on its own it shut down and rebooted…. When it came back on it was wiped and needed to be reset from scratch again. I finally got it to back up but no cell service so I had to go into the store to get it reset. It hasn’t cleared itself yet but I continue to have heating problems and the continual tapping problems.

Is there any way to correct this as it’s very frustrating. The Store person mentioned I may need a new phone if the issues persist. I am on the latest updated which sometimes fixes things and other times just makes things worse, so I get leary to always update.

Thoughts on this, repairs, corrections or replace??
