Apple Cinema Display A1267 won’t power on

I “rescued” this Apple Cinema monitor from the trash. No scratches, all cables included. I plugged it many times, used other power cords and there’s no way to turn it on.

That model number matches the LED Cinema Display (24-inch) that Apple sold between October 2008 and July 2010. Given that the monitor is at least 15 years old, and you found it in the trash, maybe the reason that t was in the trash was that it had stopped working.

Presumably you connected it to a Mac using

  • A Mini DisplayPort connection (the Apple Thunderbolt 3-to-2 adapter would not be appropriate here), and
  • A USB connection

If there is no power switch on the monitor itself, it may be relying upon detecting signals from a Mac to let it know when to come out of a "power off" state and turn on.
