Apple TV+ shows keep buffering and look blurry

All Apple TV+ shows continually buffer and look blurry even after they do. The show may play for a couple minutes and then buffer again.

No other apps on the Apple TV do this. The internet is running at 1g up and 900mb down. So speed is good and plenty of bandwidth.

The shows do this on phones, tablets and the Apple TV4k. Software is up to date on all. Apple TV is connected hardline Ethernet.


What is going on Apple?!

Found out that my ISP had me stuck behind a CGNAT. Once they gave me a public IP everything started working properly.

You are not communicating with Apple in these forums. No one here works for Apple and we are all just fellow users. Apple Support is not here.


Your issue is not showing up in other posts here. With that in mind there may be a local issue going on. Of course any streaming service has servers numbering in the hundreds located around the countries they serve.


Assuming you have tried restarting your router and internet modem (cable, satellite, fiber, etc) you should call Apple Support for help.
