To remove synchronization between Dropbox and iCloud Drive, you must address the specific setup linking them, as the services do not sync natively. The most common cause is the Dropbox folder being located within an iCloud-synced directory, such as the Desktop or Documents folders on a Mac. To fix this, simply move the Dropbox folder to a neutral location (like your main user folder) and then update this new path in Dropbox's sync preferences.
Alternatively, if a third-party application is connecting the services, you must go into the settings for both your Dropbox and iCloud accounts, find the list of connected apps, and revoke access for the application responsible for the link.
Thank you very much for your message. I couldn't find Dropbox's sync preferences. However, under my Apple ID / iCloud Drive / options, I found a list of applications that store data on my iCloud. Dropbox was among them. I disabled Dropbox. I hope that solves my problem.
