Cannot download email on iPhone Mail app with Wi-Fi; POSIX 50 error

Last week when opening the Mail app I noticed a popup window telling me my IMAP password was incorrect. I entered it and the same window reappeared. I have since changed mobile carriers and iPhones; problem still remains. I cannot download email using the Mail App if my wifi is on; download okay using cellular. Account error message says Cannot Get Mail. The mail server "imap.comcast.net" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings. Network error POSIX 50,

Is this your personal wi-fi network that you are referring to that you cannot use? That error is generally an indication of a network error. I would suggest that you reset your home wi-fi. Disconnect the power from your modem/router for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in again and wait for it to finish rebooting and coming back on like and see if that resolves it.
