All of a sudden (maybe since I got my new Macbook air?) I can not open or download pdf attachments in icloud. I can on my iphone and I can forward them to gmail and open them there. Ideas?

Thanks Richard for your response. From your response, I realize my question is wrong - I cannot open or download PDF attachments on my icloud email client (https://www.icloud.com/mail/) . When I click on them, nothing happens but if I forward it to my gmail or try to open them from my phone, I can access the attachment.
Thanks for that question! I use chrome but now I tried it in Safari and it works in Safari. What happens in Chrome is nothing. I click on the attachment and nothing happens. I also tried it on my iMac with Chrome (which I just use for zoom meetings) and it works. So it must have something to do with some setting I have on my macbook
Chrome may have Settings (under the Chrome name at upper right) that tell it what to do with certain links. I'm not sure, though. You should have the option to download the file, and then you'd open with a double click.
When you look at the Info Window in Finder for a PDF file in iCloud (Drive??)
what does it say about the size, location, and "Open Width?"
So, you're using Safari to access iCloud Mail in iCloud.com? What happens when you try a download? Do you get this?
(If that's not what you're doing, will it work?)
