Unable to send messages via iMessage app on my iPhone

iPhone will not send iMessage to anyone. what is very weird, is that my watch and iPad will send it.

I have reset the network settings 3 times and it fixes it temporarily, but then it does it again.

Wondering which compters and devices the people you send to are using

Eg: iMessages between apple users go by wi-fi ok,

yet

any messages to those with Android devices (texts) generally require the use of cellular data:

If needed: View or change cellular data settings on iPhone - Apple Support (Charges may or may not apple)

Also: If turned on :

Wi-Fi Assist can help switch to cellular data if the wi-fi signal is not strong enough to send

This issue was persistent with other phone user on same WIFI and away. my wife was one, my son, business partner (iPhone and Macbook Pro).

the weird thing was my watch and iPad would receive them so it isn't an iCloud issue.

I have reset the Network settings, turned off WIFI, and back on, rebooted my phone.

This last time (and still working) i signed out of iCloud (a real pain getting everything set back up after signing back in). Will let you know if the issue persists.
