MacBook Air lines on the screen

I got my computer last year (February 4 2024 as a gift) 🎁

I wanted the MacBook because they said it’s good to editing pictures for professional etc , I already have my work laptop (yoga) so I wasn’t using the laptop often. The first time I used was in October (months after getting it) my laptop is always at home, inside its box , so out of nowhere around june 2025 , while watching Zeus , I noticed tiny horizontal lines in the screen, I was so confused so I restarted the computer, but the lines were still there, they look white and tiny in a horizontal position. I then when to Apple Store in Lenox mall , and I was told that my computer doesn’t have any physical or damaged problems, so what was the cause of this ? I explained them I barely used this computer, I don’t used it for work or anything else but to check my emails when I am around it, so I don’t understand why am I having there issued .

they told me I have to pay $400 to repair the computer bc the 1 year warranty is expired, but how do I have to be a extra $400 for a display issue, on a computer less than 2 years old? I bought my Lenovo yoga in 2021 in a pawn shop, that computer hasn’t even had any issues, I used it all the time .

but a computer that I barely used, bought brand new, It just sit a home , and used one or twice a month. Will just start having random horizontal lines?? Sometimes is going on and y'all want people to pay an arm and a leg for an apple item that doesn’t even worth it.
