Where can I find the hardware diagnostic report results from the built-in diagnostic tool?
Hello community,
After noticing issues with computer when streaming videos via browser, I ran an EtherCheck Pro and saw my computer suffers from Kernel panics.
I asked an AI tool what could that be and got the following advice:
To troubleshoot, try the following steps:
1. Run a diagnostic test: Restart your MacBook Pro and immediately hold down the 'D' key. This will run a diagnostic test on your hardware.
2. Check for software updates: Ensure your macOS and all installed software are up-to-date.
3. Reset System Management Controller (SMC): Shut down your MacBook Pro, locate the following keys: Power button, Command (⌘) + Option (⌥) + Shift (⇧) + Power button. Press and hold these keys while powering on your MacBook Pro. Release the keys when you hear the boot chime for the second time.
4. Run Disk Utility: Restart your MacBook Pro and immediately hold down the 'Command (⌘) + R' keys. This will boot into Recovery Mode. Open Disk Utility and run a scan on your startup disk.
5. Monitor system logs: Check the Console app (in Applications/Utilities) for any error messages related to the Kernel Panic.
So I did step 1. I run the diagnostic test, but was not able to see any of the results. Instead I got a screen asking to check for my service options. I don't want want to determine my support options.... I have none, the computer is from 2015...
Any idea where I can find the results for the hardware diagnostic?
