unable to import photos from my iphone 16 to my mac

I recently scanned old photos on my I phone 16 and created an album.

When I connected the phone to my Mac opened Photos on the Mac I got a message preparing to import but nothing happened

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18

There's not much information here to help.

Try using Image Capture in your Applications folder.
