How to dismiss every (!) “This Webpage Was Reloaded …” banner

Occasionally, Safari will choke on a webpage and reload every window or tab currently open. Usually, I can identify the cause closely enough for my interest, so that’s not the issue.

How can I dismiss the “This Webpage Was Reloaded because …” banners on all the windows and tabs at once? It’s rather annoying to have to click the × in every open window*. Not even a manual reload** will make the banner go away.

I’ve tried the usual combo clicks (option + click, command + click, command + option + click etc.), but if there is a shortcut (or a menu command), I haven’t found it.

Quitting and re-opening Safari would solve the issue (I guess?), but would also take some time, and kick me out of any logged-in session the reload hasn’t kicked my out of already.

* I tend to have a lot of tabs open at any given time, which may be part of the reason why any single webpage crashes, but that’s not the question here.

** I usually have my hands on the keyboard, so I could reload by ⌘-R faster than could reach the × by trackpad.

Then I didn’t explain my issue well enough: I’m not trying to troubleshoot the underlying problem here. I’m not looking for a solution to prevent Safari from reloading or even messaging me about the reason for this.

I just wish there was (or, if there is, to find) a way to acknowledge and dismiss all the warnings that appear after one event that caused a reload in one single click after reading one of them. Since they’re all triggered by the same event, they usually all say the same. The way it is (or appears to be) now, I have to click into every single window or tab to make its warning banner go away.

Depending on the reason (which you did not provide) the result will be a webpage that fails to load, loads repeatedly and incessantly, or "locks up" requiring a force-quit. The banner is Safari informing you of something wrong, without which all we could do is guess.

You can always quit the Safari app, and either launch it again with no previously loaded windows or tabs or launch it then History > Reload All Windows from Last Session.

In any event the reason for that message needs to be determined and fixed. I agree there is probably one underlying cause being triggered by the same event. What you are encountering is not normal.

We’re talking at cross-purposes.

This question is not about what caused Safari’s reloading (which is why I didn’t provide a reason) – I’m looking for a solution to an interface issue: how can I close all the banners at once without having to go through every open tab?

No matter if I can or want to deal with the underlying problem, I still have all these banners in all the open tabs.
