Unable to receive messages on my new iPhone 16 Pro

i got the new 16 pro and i can’t receive or use imessage w the new phone. i reset network, turned on and off my phone, many things and nothing.

Here are a couple things you should double check to ensure iMessage is working properly on your iPhone.


1. Ensure iMessage is activated

Go to Settings > Apps > Messages and make sure iMessage is turned on. If it’s on but still not working, try toggling it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.


2. Check Apple ID & Phone Number

Under Settings > Apps > Messages > Send & Receive, confirm your Apple ID is signed in and your phone number is listed under “You can receive iMessages to and reply from.”
