How to remove myself from group chat without notifying

I rcvd a scam text today as part of a group text. Someone left the group but it notified everyone “[phone number] left the conversation.”

If any of those people are also scammers, they’ve just been notified that the number is a live number, which might increase scam attempts. I want zero record of my number having been part of the list. Any way to do this?
