Can I merge two iMac profiles on a new Mac?

I have two separate profiles on my current iMac. Mine and my wife’s. This was done mainly because I didn’t know how to keep our iTunes libraries separate. We are getting ready to purchase a new Mac and want to bring all the photos, documents, and data from the separate profiles to just one profile on the new computer. Is this possible?

You do realize that if you have only one user account both of you will have to share the same email addresses and text accounts and share one iCloud account. Are you sure you want to do that?

MrHoffmann's comment describes the results you should strive for, i.e. migrating both user accounts and libraries, etc. to the new Mac. NOTE; the new Mac must have the same sized internal drive or larger in order to use Migration Assistant.
