Very slow update from iCloud - have very fast internet

I bought a new iPad and am restoring via a backup from the cloud. This also happened when I got a new iPhone. It is incredibly slow restoring Apps. Is there something that can be done? I would like also to know what the process is when you go to an App and press “Prioritize Download”. Thank you.

"Prioritize Download" should put the app in front of all other still pending downloads. After finishing this prioritised download, the other apps will be next, according to the ranking on the list.

The time for restoring from an iCloud backup can vary during the process, depending on the amount of data that is being transferred for the apps.
