Annoying Pop up adds in Safari

I really want to use Safari, however I cannot stand all the annoying pop up ads. I have been told to download

an Ad Blocking app, and that this would stop the annoying pop ups. There are no pop up ads when i use

Firefox, because AD blocking is built in. I trust Apple software, I would rather not have to download, and trust

some third party app. Hope Apple will include natively Ad blocking in future OS updates.

What you need may already be there. Please read: Block pop-up ads and windows in Safari - Apple Support

Apple won't see your hope here; we are other end users. Please use this feedback link to place your request before an Apple employee:

I've used Safari since v1 and have never been inundated with popups. Everyone who uses the internet gets some, but I've never encountered anything close to disruptive.

It is also possible that you have caught a nasty case of adware by downloading from "app hosting sites" that make money by hiding adware in the "free" software they offer. If a site offere softare free that you know coast real money elsewhere, run away!

We can help you look for adware or other known suspicious players. If you want a data-driven evaluation in this setting where we can neither see nor touch your computer, please post an EtreCheck report. We can quickly and within the limitations of these forums help you determine what issues are at play without our playing a protracted game of "20 Questions" with you that could go on for days.

EtreCheck Pro is available here:

The free version will do nicely for this purpose, although the app is worthy of our financial support.

We can see hard data about drive performance, software issues and interferences, and RAM usage. Etrecheck is the development of a long-serving and trusted ASC contributor. It is a reporting app, not a "fix-it” app, expressly for displaying information in these forums to help us help you remotely. It will not reveal any personal or secure information.

Please see this excellent user tip on how to post long text reports like EtreCheck's into a forum response:

How to use the Add Text Feature When Post… - Apple Community

Please post the entire report. What seems insignificant to a new Etrecheck user can hold answers for those of us who have reviewed thousands of those reports.
