Can I change the format of my Apple Music playlists?

I did learn how to change the columns for a playlist. Yiu have to change it to VIEW AS SONGS.— not playlist. Then you can add things like year. Album. Rating. And make the playlist like you like it. Clicking on the column category like artist will arrange songs in abc order of the artist.

if however yiu want to DELETE a song from the playlist you have to change to view as playlist. That makes NO sense to me. But i have to go with it.

You are incorrect. If you are in a regular playlist with "view as playlist" you can delete a song from the playlist. AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT A SMART PLAYLIST. BUT if you are looking at playlist - "view as songs" - you CANNOT delete a song from the playlist. I just tried it again to be sure. Wish I was wrong. I'll give an example of why that is a pain. Let's say you have a playlist like 60s. When you look at the playlist in the "view as playlist" the year is not even shown and you can't add a column for that info. The columns never change in that view. So if you look at the playlist in "view as songs" you can add columns to the playlist such as year, album, etc. Would be so easy to remove a song that wasn't from the 60s right then. But again you have to change the playlist to "view as songs". Poor design by someone who really doesn't use a lot of playlists.
