Requesting a plastic Apple Card for compatibility with non-tap/chip terminals

Can Apple/Goldman Sachs provide a physical plastic Apple Card vs the Metal/titanium on me they provide? If the merchant doesn't have tap or chip, the swipe often doesn’t work and it is frustrating. So I use a different payment method. I’ve called customer service asking for a plastic Apple Card and you can’t get one. Why not provide us one that works with other terminals?
