Issues with email loading on iPhone without Wi-Fi and charger

i‘ve read several issues about this design choice of Apple. It‘s a bad choice. Why?

I have a 20GB dataplan for a few Euros/month so I don’t care about „WiFi“.

To receive my emails I have to start the email app and force to get my emails (swipe down) simply want to receive them always!

When I put during a meeting my charger in the phone the emails come in and the beeping starts.

Why this fixed design issue and are there no adequate settings for this. Android users can configure it all. IOS users are the dummies. Of course there are numerous workarounds but why to tap in all kind of settings to work around a bad design choice? Apple please !

I have allowed Mail to use my mobile data plan in Settings/Mobile Service/Mobile Data/ -> Mail.

No additional swiping or connection to power needed. Opening Mail just downloads new mails, no matter which network connection I'm using.

My iPhone is also muted by the Mute Switch on the side, so no beeping at all.
