Will disabling and deleting icloud photos delete from physical device?

I recently disabled and deleted photos from icloud via the “Disable and delete” button in icloud settings and was wondering if it will delete all of those photos from my photo library aswell. If it does, how can i prevent them from deleting while also deleting them from icloud. I want them in my photo library, but not in icloud. Thanks!

Sorry, but if you are using iCloud Photos, all changes made will be reflected to all devices that are using your Apple Account and iCloud Photos.

You can disable iCloud Photos after archiving the photos, as explained in this article:

After that you can use your iPhone and the Photo app to save your photos directly on your device.

iCloud makes all the Photos Libraries connected to it have exactly the same pictures. So if you delete a picture from an iPhone, that picture will be deleted from iCloud and from your Mac, for instance.

So the only way to have an iPhone with different stuff is to disconnect it from iCloud. AFTER that, deleting pictures from iCloud won't affect the disconnected iPhone.
