Thin vertical dashed line showing in 360 videos in Final Cut Pro

When editing a 8K 360 video, (that I took with my Insta360 X4 and rendered on Insta360 Studio so that I can edit onFinal Cut Pro,) I get this very thin vertical dashed line going all around the 360 video.

I initially thought it was just a display issue during editing but this line showed after exporting too. Moreover, I'm assuming this is an issue with FCP as I can't fine any of these line when seeing the clip on Insta360 Studio nor in the raw clip rendered on it.

I'm currently dealing with this issue by layering the exact same clip under the primary one, and having the one in below rotated slightly.

Would be grateful if anyone knows how to solve this issue, but regardless thanks for reading!

If you're like me, you don't particularly care to use Compound Clips if you can get away with it...

I don't work much with 360º, but I have done some work with it and I have been fighting those seam lines on and off for some time. Last night, based on a new trick I learned a couple months ago, I thought I'd give this solution a try. It seems to be helpful.

I am assuming you are referring to the "artifact lines" that occur at the 180º angle and I am familiar with the problem. Below I have examples of the problem:

Original (not very "sharp" and no sign of the "seam" problem):

Some sharpening/color effects added — seam appears at exactly the 180º mark:

After Fix Seam 360: (Remove Seam setting at 20)

Original:

After sharpening/color effects:

After adding Fix Seam 360 (setting about 50):

Fix Seam 360 is **very lightweight**, and only one parameter (Remove Seam). Apply it *after* you apply effects that cause the lines to appear. I recommend that you try to find a parameter value less than the default (50). Larger values than 50 are available for use, but may create a partially noticeable region of "reflection" at the edge (but far...far less noticeable than the full length seam.) For example:

After sharpening/color effects and Fix Seam 360 at 50:

Going higher than 50 splits this chair into two slices... the seam is gone, but so is part of the chair — just something to be careful about (and may sometimes be unavoidable!)
