Importing photos from iPhone to MacBook Pro

Unable to import photos from iPhone 12 Pro (iOS18.5) to MacBook Pro (OS Sequoia 15.5). Like many others have reported over the last few years, this import process that used to work easily, consistently fails now. No imports. What's up, Apple??

If you want help from some of us, then you didn't give us much information. For instance, how are you importing these pictures, with iCloud or a USB cable, or what? Are you using the Finder pop-up? Have you tried to use the app Image Capture? Do you get an error message? Have you re-booted your Mac? Have you done a Forced restart (not just a power cycle) of your phone?
