I used to be able to send photos to an email address but now they only get as far as an outbox and will not send. I can send them to WhatsApp from my iPhone but not to an email address. Why has this suddenly happened?

This can sometimes happen if your email settings changed, your internet connection is weak, or there's an issue with the Mail app.
Try doing the following:
If the email's stuck in the Outbox, it usually means it's just waiting for a proper connection to send.
Please describe the exact steps you're taking to send the pictures. Are you starting from Photos and using the share function? Or something else?
Also, have you updated to iOS 18.5?
