Iphone 15 Pro max certain 3rd party apps cant use camera (Black screen)

Hello everyone,

While using my iphone 15 pro max I started having this problem that I get a black screen when I try to scan a QR code in my bank app or authenticator app (google) or try to take a picture or video in youtube. This problem keeps reoccuring even after I reset. The app permissions are good. The camera works in the default camera app, snapchat, instagram, whatsapp and facebook and im running ios 18.5.

This is something pretty annoying especially when im trying to scan QR codes for my bank app to make purchases.

If you are unable to scan QR codes, it could be a camera issue, Alternatively follow this process

See the pic below, which is self-explanatory

Take a snapshot of the QR code from any other device and transfer it to your device. Open the Photo and Firmly Press the QR Code.

try a different app to scan the QR code and compare your results.

Its not the qr code scanning that doesnt work, its the camera that doesnt work with a lot of apps. Ive used microsoft authenticator and it doesnt work either and also using the camera option in browser to see if the TV i want fits my wall or trying to take pictures for the marktplaats ( dutch ebay) doesnt work. After restarting my phone it works again for a couple of hours.

i have read that others also have a similar issue and that it hasnt resolved so i think i will have this issue till the new ios comes but its really annoying atm cause i do a lot of business with my banking app

and yes i have looked at camera permissions and i have moved my camera further away to let it adjust the focus or something like that

Its not just the qr code scanning, it works in the ios camera app. I just noticed it while trying to scan qr codes. Its with multiple apps and even the browser that the camera doesnt work.

For instance I downloaded Pokemon Go and even in Pokemon Go the camera doesnt work
